aquaillusion: Definitely an improvement on the regular SNES version, and is generally pretty good, doesn't suffer from many actual issues. It's just kind of outclassed by the rest, I think. KalosPowerPlant: This is a pretty solid port. I think some of the volume balancing needs work, and I'm not sure how well the SMW samples play in to be honest, but it's still very competently done. niceday: one day i'll learn to not port jazz when smwc is judging SNESDEMO: Really smart use of the pitchmod. The composition isn't too interesting to me personally but it's definitely the most technically interesting of the lot and I can tell a lot of effort went into it. The brass section kind of loses me and is really weirdly mixed compared to the rest. After that it starts to sound kind of Touhou-y which is not inherently bad but doesn't much suit my personal tastes. zozo: I think you dug yourself in a hole porting a not-particularly-noteworthy SNES song--it's just not all that impressive in competition to port directly from SNES unless you're talking an actual remix or something along the lines of Follin. It's a solid port of the song though for sure. zzz: First point: fucking superb channel design here. You absolutely made the best use of those 8 channels you could and it really pays off. The SMW samples work fantastically in this context and I wouldn't want them replaced by anything else; I don't know how @1 manages to be such a damn good lead voice, it's kind of insane. Everything is perfectly executed--I just wish the pitchmod made a bit more of an appearance somewhere. I don't know if this song could be done more justice in this format.
